BJ'S KODIAK 117 Here is the first son to sell at auction by our new Soo Line herd bull. Soo Line's Kodiak 9207 is a direct son of Kodiak 5R and a half brother to Tiger. These two bulls have left their mark on the breed. When we bought Kodiak, his biggest selling feature was his mother, an ideal Angus female. We could not be happier with his first set of calves: they have moderate birth weights, have extreme length, very good thickness and are naturally docile – Not to mention, their incredible feed efficiency. Kodiak 117 is very long, stout, and good-haired with perfect feet and he moves like a cat. His moderate, flawless-uddered dam has had a bull in the top of our bull pen every time she has one. This bull is a true ranch bull and I am sure you will be as happy to own him as we are to own his sire!
BJ'S CONCLUSIVE 120 If you are serious in the beef industry, this guy will not be hard to find in the barn. This ET calf is a powerhouse – He has a powerfully muscled top and hip, depth of rib and awesome hair. Again, the best part of this calf could be his mother – 3050 has as much muscle and power as any cow in the breed today. Along with her mother 001, 3050 has been in our donor pen for years, where they have done very well with offspring born worldwide. 3050 and 0011 offspring have shattered every performance record in the United Kingdom. Last year, 3050's natural No Limits calf was among our best and sold to Hawkeye Ranching. I am sure you will see progeny in future Medicine Hat Bull Sales. Hawkeye Ranching were so happy with the bull they purchased his donor dam this fall to build their herd. Conclusive is noted for producing great females as well, so you get the best of both worlds – a bull that can produce meat and muscle and major pounds, plus you can retain his daughters.
BJ'S XPLORER 031 Cowboys, take a look here! Everyone always says "I want a two-year-old," so here he is! He has a very moderate BW that will work on heifers or cows. 31X is very well balanced with a massive back-end, and clean and smooth through his front. His dam is a powerhouse of a female. If you can find a female with her power and muscle shape, let me know because I will try and buy her! Our best bred heifer is an ET daughter of her, and one of the very best open heifers this year is another ET daughter. Check out his dam HERE and you will see why we selected her with our partners from Scotland, and why she was a 'must-own' a few years back in the Hoff Scotch Cap Angus herd dispersal in South Dakota. This female was our pick of 800 females! If you need a bull to cover a few extra heifers or cows, this bull will do it with ease.
